Their Story

Dr. Moss is a nationally recognized resource in the fields of personal development, career development, and leadership. He has contributed to success and career development stories for media outlets, such as, ForbesBlack Enterprise Magazine, and Fox 8 News. His articles and media appearances have advanced the careers and lives of over 30,000 thousand people across the world. Most notably, his words of inspiration have been featured on the Oprah Winfrey TV Network.

THE SUCCESS IDENTITY

Their goal

Establishing a brand strategy.

Dr Moss was seeking to rebrand his online presence, streamline his personal brand and strengthen his position as an authority in the self-development space.

Role

In this project I took on the role of the brand strategist, guiding, and working with him towards the goal of recreating his brand.

THE TIMELINE

Steps

The steps taken towards making the project a success were as follows (timeline below)

Onboarding

We set up a meeting to lay out the project objectives, goals, and flesh out the key performance indicators

Takeoff

With everything smoothened out, work commenced and I laid out a framework for the project

The first draft

I completed the first draft and invited him to offer his feedback

Amendments

I wet ahead to make amendments & modifications to the strategy as per previous feedback.

Brand strategy deployed

Project was completed and all deliverables were forwarded. In addition, threw in a bonus on approaching the next phase of launching a website as well as effectively leveraging color psychology.

PAIN + REFECTION = PROGRESS

Challenges

As the project demanded constant communicating and touch points, the dilemma was to figure out a way to get the project done without overstretching Dr. Moss as his schedule was quite demanding. I am pleased to say that through an effective framework; we were able to extract the ideas he had and mold them into a framework that cut the completion time of the project by weeks.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Success

We completed the brand strategy, and I ensured it was tailor made to be flexible & easily implementable, saving him future amendment costs and allowing him to have a point of reference for pivoting his brand identity in the future if need be . We ended up cutting down the completion time of the project to about a week in delivery time.
